Convert/Transcode Sony HXR-NX3 MXF to Final Cut Pro 6 on Mavericks

I had been a faithful windows user all the time until I received a Macbook last week from my parents as the birthday present. Actually I haven’t been very adaptive in this apple system so far. These days, I ran into a troublesome problem: I found it hard to put my Sony HXR-NX3 MXF to Final Cut Pro 6 on OS X 10.9.4. They are just not compatible to each other. I realized I need a professional converter to transcode MXF to ProRes 422HQ for FCP 6 on Mavericks. So I stuck to my choice on windows PC, and chose Aunsoft TransMXF for Mac which is able to solve my problem of converting Sony HXR-NX3 MXF to Final Cut Pro 6 on OS X 10.9.4.

Aunsoft TransMXF for Mac is powerful software with plenty of practical functions. It can split your long file into several short parts and meanwhile keep its high quality. Moreover, you may also merge many videos into one file.

It also allows the batch conversion from MXF to almost all the popular formats, such as MOV, MP4, AVI, MKV and so on. Its most important function for me is that it can convert MXF for many common applications such as Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, iMovie and so on. (This function is just what I need! With this function, I don’t have to worry about the conversion of Sony HXR-NX3 MXF to ProRes on Mavericks.)

Step one. Add or drag it to the concise interface. You may also preview it before the conversion. (TransMXF for Mac supports the function of “preview”, which means you can watch MXF videos on this software. Free download TransMXF for Mac.)

Step two. Select the output format you need. I chose the Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov), because I want to put it into FCP 6 for the further editing.

Step three. Adjust the setting. You may change the codec, size, bitrate, frame rate of the video and the codec, sample rate, bitrate, and channel of its audio.
Lastly, after I had prepared everything well, I just need to click the yellow arrow to start the conversion from Sony HXR-NX3 MXF to Final Cut Pro 6 on Mavericks.

By the way, I ran Aunsoft TransMXF on windows, and it turned out to be in a good condition!

Aunsoft really does a good job in handling Sony HXR-NX3 MXF files to Final Cut Pro 6!
